Wildlife campaigner Chris Packham to deliver keynote

Wildlife campaigner Chris Packham to deliver keynote

Wildlife TV presenter, campaigner and author, Chris Packham CBE, is to deliver a keynote presentation at next year’s Inspiring Leadership Conference (12 & 13 June 2025, the ICC, Birmingham).

Extraordinarily creative and prolific, Chris has led a remarkable life. He’s gained recognition as a naturalist, television presenter, photographer, conservationist, campaigner and filmmaker, and is the author of three books including Sunday Times’ No 1 bestseller, ‘Fingers in the Sparkle Jar: A Memoir’.

Perhaps best known for presenting the BBC’s BAFTA award-winning, long running series ‘Springwatch’ and ‘Winterwatch’, Chris has also presented notable natural history series including Earth, Nature’s Weirdest Events, World’s Weirdest Events, World’s Sneakiest Animals, Cats v Dogs, The Burrowers, Inside the Animal Mind, Operation Iceberg and Secrets of our Living Planet.

Whilst as a campaigner, he has always been active and vocal about wildlife and conservation issues and injustice. A vociferous opponent of the badger cull and a leading campaigner in the call to ban driven grouse shooting, Chris organised the UK’s first march for wildlife in 2019, is an ambassador for numerous wildlife and environmental NGOs, and organises his own independent campaigns and actions.

Georgie Butler, Associate Director of Inspiring Leadership Events, comments: “We’re delighted that Chris has agreed to deliver a keynote at the conference. A passionate advocate for the natural world, an award winning campaigner, bestselling author and respected TV presenter, Chris embodies his mantra of ‘winning is not giving up’ and has a truly inspirational story to tell.”

The only event of its type that is organised specifically for UK school education leaders, the Inspiring Leadership Conference is attended by around 1,000 senior leaders from schools in the UK and overseas.
