We’re delighted to confirm that Darren Coxon will be returning as a keynote at this year’s Inspiring Leadership Conference (12 & 13 June 2025, ICC, Birmingham). 

The Co-Founder and Executive Director of Kompass Education, a consultancy which specialises in providing schools and colleges with the training, support and tools they need to innovate safely and ethically with AI, and an educator for 26 years, Darren was one of our most popular speakers at the 2024 conference. 

At this year’s conference, he will be providing an essential update on developments in the use of AI to create better education systems and how leaders in education can harness AI’s power in an effective, balanced and ethical way.

A major thought leader on AI in education, Darren has worked in almost every role including teacher, Head of Department (mainstream and SEND), Head of Teaching and Learning, Principal (UK and international), Director of Education, and Chief Operating Officer during his career.

He has been at the forefront of educational technology for many years including leading the first state 6th form in the UK to move to an iPad 1:1 model and regularly delivers training, keynotes and workshops for HMC, COBIS, BSME, GSA, Independent Schools Portal, the National College, and GESS Dubai.

Darren now runs Kompass, a new company which focusses on both AI literacy and AI governance, ensuring schools are fully compliant with recent UK government announcements on AI in education, and (for EU Schools) with the EU AI Act.
